Socio-ecological Transformation and Just Mobility

The project addresses the current processes of greening capitalism (see the European Green Deal for an outstanding example). It analyses the social dynamics and the constellations of social forces which drive the ecological modernisation of capitalism, its potentials, limits and contradictions, the transformation of the state that enables it (and is driven by it), the implications for the global South and the entry points for a fundamental socio-ecological transformation that may be opened by it. An in-depth analysis addresses the potentials of dismantling the automotive industry and converting it in favour of a sustainable transport system.
